WHAT IS A LIFELONG LEARNER?
A lifelong learner is generally a person who is a self-starter. One who is capable of monitoring their own progress and capable of completing a task, regardless of whether someone is watching over their shoulder. These characteristics translate into later years where you will find those persons who continue to expand their knowledge base outside of the formal education arena. In short, a lifelong learner’s quest for knowledge is both lasting and continuing throughout one’s lifetime.
