ROM-COMS FOR THE OLDER COUPLE

So, what exactly is a Rom-com? Rom-coms, also known as Romantic Comedies, is a subgenre of comedies designed to be romantic and light-hearted. A Rom-com doesn’t necessarily mean a movie. There are also television series that have been labeled romantic comedies. An example of a rom-com plot is showing how love can overcome obstacles and hardships in life.

In the past decade or more, romantic comedies for the elderly surged. These films are significant in that they star classic actresses and actors in stories that have happy endings and life-affirming messages. They are generally about showing the ability to compromise with others who also have a significant amount of baggage from the obstacles that life has thrown at them.
